Embrace Adventure & Spontaneity with Organization: How Organization Frees You for Lots of Fun
It's no secret that I LOVE organizing. I love to talk about it, I love to do it at home, and I love to help people get organized. So many people think I'm crazy for loving it.
I am crazy, but it's a good kind of crazy.
When I am organized physically, it brings my mind clarity. My routines and structure allow me to have more spontaneity and adventure.
Let me give you an example:
If you were to call me up and say, "Let's go to the beach for the weekend."
I would say, "Let's go! I can leave in 30 minutes."
Because I am organized and stay on top of things, I know I have enough clean clothes to pack and can quickly get to my suitcase and bags together. I know exactly where my beach towel, sunscreen, and chair are. I can leave my house and know that it's going to be ready for me to come home to, AND I can pick right back up where I left off. I'm not worried about what is happening while I am away because it was organized and tidied up when I left. I also know that when I get home, I can jump right back into my next week without being "behind" from missing a weekend at home to do chores. It's like I plan to be adventurous and live a spontaneous life every day.
So, if you want to be adventurous and add spontaneity in your life, try being organized. It sounds counterintuitive, but I promise you, it works! It's a fun and refreshing life to not be dragged down by stuff.
I control my shit instead of my shit controlling my life.
